Hi guys,
I am tossing around the idea of putting together an atheist tv show on Fayetteville's public access channel. We could use it to educate people on what our beliefs are, and as a way to interface with the public and get some conversation going. What do you think? I've got a bunch of ideas floating around, but nothing's really set in stone yet. I'll try to get some folks from the Fayetteville group in on it as well.
I'd need people to go through the producer training classes with me, so we'd have as many people that can help operate the cameras and equipment as possible (so we're not dependent on just one person).
We'll also need people who're willing to get on camera and talk on various subjects. If we get enough volunteers, we could have a co-host rotation, so each person would not have to do it every single time. Some ideas for shows I have are:
- Introduction to Atheism (What is an atheist, what we believe, how can you be moral without God, why do you hate God, etc.)
- Logical Fallacies
- Pascal's Wager
- Argument from Design/Watchmaker Argument
- First Cause Argument
- Ontological Argument
- America is a Christian Nation!
- Problem of Evil / Examples of Evil in the Bible
- Evolution
Of course, I would want the whole season planned out before going forward, but for now, it is just in the idea phase.
